Can AI Replace Your Real Estate Broker?

Do We Really Want to Automate Everything?

Share

There is so much buzz around AI and automation right now — and for good reason. Technology can make our lives easier, faster, and more efficient. But this recent Chase commercial stopped me in my tracks because it asks a question I’ve been thinking about: Is removing human interaction from every transaction really the goal?

What happens when you order your coffee and then decide you want soy milk? Or get into a driverless car only to realize you left something at home? And who among us hasn’t found themselves practically yelling “REPRESENTATIVE!” into the phone while desperately trying to reach an actual human? Please tell me it’s not just me.

The parallels to real estate were impossible for me to ignore.

Buying and Selling Is Not a Simple Transaction

For years, companies have entered the real estate industry promising to disrupt the traditional model and automate more of the process. And technology has absolutely transformed our business for the better. But buying or selling a home is not a simple transaction — and your home is not just another commodity.

There are inspections, appraisals, attorneys, lenders, negotiations, deadlines, disclosures, unexpected surprises and, perhaps most importantly, emotions. Lots of emotions. No two transactions unfold exactly the same way, and when something goes sideways — and something almost always does — you need more than an algorithm.

That’s where an experienced broker matters.

What Your Broker Actually Does

My job isn’t simply to help you find a house or put a sign in your yard. It’s to anticipate problems before they become problems, explain your options, negotiate on your behalf, coordinate all the moving pieces, and guide you from our first conversation through to the closing table.

Your home is not just another commodity.

I embrace technology every day, including AI. But I believe the best technology should enhance human expertise, not replace it. Because when the stakes are high, you want more than a real person on the other end of the line — you want an experienced professional at your side, actively advocating for you every step of the way.

And in real estate, I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

Let’s talk about your move — the human way.
